What Is A Church?
"Church" is a uniquely Christian word. It
denotes any and all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior from
eternal death and hell.
What Church Should I Attend?
Since the Church exists in the hearts of believers, it
is invisible to the human eye. Nonetheless, there are specific marks
to identify it. They are: correct Biblical teaching and proper administration
of the Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Christ wants you
to attend where you find these means of salvation taught and practiced
in their truth and purity.
What Is Lutheranism?
Lutheranism is Christianity in Action! Three principles
under gird the Lutheran Church.
-
We're saved by God's love for us in Christ, alone.
This is called, grace.
-
Salvation is made our personal possession through
faith, alone.
-
We draw our teachings from the clear statements of
Scripture, alone.
From beginning to end our salvation rests in Christ's
perfect hands and not our imperfect ones.
What Does Pinewood Lutheran Church Stand For?
Today many Lutheran denominations liberally pick-and-choose
what's secularly popular. We do not! We stand by, for, and with the
ancient Apostolic Church in confessing God's Word to be inspired, inerrant,
and the only source for faith and life. We belong to the Evangelical
Lutheran Synod or ELS, and are joint fellowship with the WELS. If you're
interested in more information, contact the Pastor.
